With what do you wipe?

My bil takes a roll of tp where ever he goes.

But then again at 575 pounds mebbe he's worried there wont be enough. He says its cuz he doesnt know how soft it is, but i like my reasoning better.

this may not be your towel to blame. Are you sure your are finishing down nicely on your last polishing step? I got a bunch of mega plush blue mf's from PB'S and they dry nicely. you may have some film, oil, or fine dirt particles on the car, or something maybe in the towel also.

wash a car and try drying the car with different towels, and methods. leaving the products next to each section that you dried. Then you could go back and take a look-see.

The sun was high in the sky.

This may be your problem. In my many years of working on paint or even cleaning windows, if the sun is shining on the surface it is more likely to streak. I don't even attempt to wash, polish or wax a car unless it is in the shade. Maybe it is just me though.

Re: With what do you wipe?

:rofl

Sounds to me like product build up. There is probably a film of some sort on the finish. When trying to wipe the finish dry the towel is smearing, smudging or streaking it around. I would try another wash to get rid of this loose film and then try drying again.

Hey everyone,

I just reread his post, he has a spray on wax mixed in there, maybe this is what's causing the problem. I can't remember what forum but someone had the same issue with a Poorboy's spray wax. Just my 2 cents, I like the Poorboys compounds.

After it's all almost said and done I go around with two clean microfiber towels. One wet and wrung another dry. Wet one first and the dry right behind it. So far it's worked great. Any pro's want to chime in ? I use the same procedure on glass.
