Witch has more power the flex 3401 or the RUPES 21 machine?

I definitely agree technique should be different as well as body position. How you hold it will determine a lot.

long story short, I added the Rupes to my wishlist, just deciding on the 21 or the 15 now...
will use the griot with a 4" pad for the smaller sections

I just ordered the 15. I have had the chance to use both the 15 & 21. I liked the smaller stroke of the 15, i felt like it was better on smaller panels. I use 5" pads and didnt want to buy a 21 and then buy the 5" 15 bp.

Hmmmm, I find them to both be capable of removing super deep imperfections when paired with the correct accessories. I don't know which more powerful...

The Rupes is a great, particularly if you use it with their system of polishes, pads, etc..

The FLEX is a powerhouse that will cut out 1500 grit scratches on most paints when paired with a purple foamed wool pad and an advanced cutting compound like Wolfgang Uber of M101.

Can't go wrong either ways :)

With all the pad and product options every machine can cut impressively now adays. Take the weaked machine (arguably) compared to other DA's. The PC7424. Is there a painted system that canit be beat with surbuff or the new meguairs slim xtra cut mf and some 101 or fg400??. Probably not many. But where im getting is the ease of use. My summary, my opinion. Take it as you like. Im tired of correcting and just being darn tired after cutting lol

-Da's, makes my hands tingle. Hate it. Also the fatigue of constant pressure.

-Flex, good cut, much less pressure needed.....gotta fight with her all the way through.

-Rotary, best cut, best finish. Usualy pretty heavy. Sometimes over kill or to aggressive for every application. Also dangerous for the less experienced.

-Rupes 15/21. Does not cut the quickest in my opinion. But the ease of use, ergonomics, the fatigue factor, the cut and finish, all together the winner. I can polish all day and not complain or be fatigue after using my rupes machines. Like mentioned above, zero pressure, sometimes I even lift on contours and works great. (Zero pressure, also in my opinion works best with the buttery smooth rupes pads, the LC's seems to be a little sticky)

My fav machine combo lately is rupes and rotary. Depending on the paint hardness. Cut with one finish with the other.
