Wiping dash after applying protectant?

Hey guys, I'm using NXT Tech Protectant on my interior right now. Since it's so shiny and the protectant basically just sits on top after a few minutes after application anyways I wiped it with a microfiber. It reduced the shine so I was wondering if I lessened the effectiveness of the UV protection. Would this apply to all protectants such as Armor All or anything else? thanks in advance.

I think of it the same was I think of a wax. You can apply a layer an inch thick and it will still only leave a little bit behind. That being said, I wipe down my leather and vinyl after treating it because I like the car to look clean, not shiny (on the inside) and I would think there would still be UV protection from what you don't wipe off.

i guess im the only one that likes that ghetto shine :nixweiss

the shine on the lighter color plastics in my car are OK, but my dash is a dark beige color and when the sun is out the glare is just intolerable. On top of that I find that the shine makes my matte dash seem like cheap plastic. One thing that I like about tech protectant's shine is that it makes my tires look the way I like them to look, shiny and wet.

From my bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant:

"Spray on, wipe dry. Apply every 3-5 weeks for maximum UV protection."

So IMO this means that the amount that is left after buffing it is enough to protect the surface for 3-5 weeks. Just reapply the protectant every couple weeks if you're worried about diminished UV protection.
