Winterizing the fleet. One more done.

I know, it's that "gotta pay to play" thing. If my cars appropriately reflected my bank account I would be driving a '89 Buick. I'll just have to see how long I can keep up the charade. :)

It all comes down to priorities. Your priority is the cars, someone else's might be furniture, tech gadgets, etc.

Unfortunately there are lots of tempting and expensive hobbies out there.

Well, I have a step up or so with an '89 de Ville, but I'm also an Audi guy ;)

Heh heh, with all the track time your "play" is pretty serious too!

Actually, for how you do the car-hobby thing, I think your current stable is [darn] near ideal :xyxthumbs

But I'm still waiting for you to start getting nutty with mods for the Toyota :chuckle:

Once he gets a chance to play in the snow with it, we'll be hearing about solid-axle swaps, air lockers, lift kits, bead-locks with 35s wrapped around them.... :faint:

You know, six months ago I had no idea what any of that stuff was! :nervous2: Now I am reading the 4Runner forum where NOBODY has a stock truck. Everybody on the forum has a "Build Thread" which is a continuous thread where people note all the updates and mods to their 4Runner as they "build" it up.

As you said, these threads chronical lift kits, roll bars, brush guards, duct tape, winches, rock climbing, mud riding, new dents and all sorts of stuff. Meanwhile, my thread, if I had one, would talk about applications of wax, how I cleaned my carpet, chrome polishing....etc. I don't think this new crowd woud 'get me'. :der: These people get their trucks dirty on purpose! Where's the love?

Car looks gorgeous Brad! It's been about a year on mine and I'm already seeing small swirls, and I like to consider myself pretty meticulous. To go 3 years and still not need a correction really speaks to how much care and skill you have in maintenance. No small feat and definitely something we all should aspire to.
