Winterized my 3 (Pics inside).

They're calling for snow next week here in Northern Ohio. I decided to go ahead and add some Collinite for increased protection this winter. I bought this car new without dealer prep back in June and still have no noticeable marring using only ONR + sheepskin or grout sponge.



Process:

Wash with ONR and Grout Sponge

Opti-Seal x 2

Collinite 845-IW (Big Thanks to BIGAL for sending me a free sample of this great wax :bigups

This is the best depth I've been able to achieve during my brief ownership of this fine vehicle.



I will eventually add another coat of Collinite for additional protection.

Looks great! IW works awesome. It is pretty cheap, the bottle lasts forever, and it looks good and lasts a while.

I'm not looking forward to winter and having a nasty car! I need to get my winter prep done soon as well.

Nice, J.J.! I noticed that the IW made my flakes pop when I did some winter prep on my Focus. IW seems to make washing easier, too.



I do like the 3. I drove one as a rental car, and thought, "Why does Ford keep selling the old Focus when this platform is available?"

IW does seem to bring out flake quite nicely, one of my favourite liquid waxes. Nice job on the 3, good luck with the snow!
