Winter wiper blades

I ended up ordering some Anco winter blades form OReily's and hopefully can pick them up at lunch.

Right now I'm running traditional Michelin blades on both of our vehicles. I've not run winter blades in a few years but with all the snow and ice we've had so far this season, I'm wondering if I should have, especially because my truck sits outside 24/7.

I have the Valeo 600 series on my wifes SUV, very very happy with the performance. On my new SUV, i am going with the RainX Latitude, only because I would have to order the Valeo. Consumer Reports rated them the top 2. Anco 31 series was 3rd.

Yeah, I've never ran winter blades at all but for some reason it's bad this year as far as my blades getting frozen up. And of course it's always frozen right in my line of view.

I'll let you guys know if they work or not when it snows again.

No problems with them with a lot of snow?

I put the new winter blades on at lunch. They are sort of ugly because they are bulkier and have these red cap on the ends but I think they'll do the trick. I don't see how any snow or ice could get to them.

I've been using the Rain-X Latitude® Wiper Blades and really like them. I don't think they're a "true" winter blade but they sure function like one..

With living in Salt Lake we normally get a fair amount of snow, but I work and drive in the mountains everday. I've tried winter blades before and never really cared for them. I use Bosch Icon there a little pricey but worth it. I've tried other brands that try to make the same blade as the Bosch but they don't even come close to the quality. I replace mine about twice a year or so which is normal i feel, but i hate when they streak or make noise.

Any of the brackletless ones work well like the Bosch Icon and the Rain-X Latitude. I tend to prefer the Bosch. I think the Rain-X washer fluid is worth the extra coin.

Ski bumm, try cleaning the rubber on the blade with alcohol wipes or IPA when they streak or chatter.

I have been using the Trico Neoform blades this winter. I like the thicker blade and one piece idea for snow and ice.

I've got the NeoForms on one vehicle and the new 'Trico Tech Beam Blades' on the other. The neoform has the teflon coating which is nice. The tech has a new off-set, slightly-lower mount that is really slick. Also the techs are really beefy. In both cases, they work well in our wonderful Wisconsin crap winter weather. Way better than conventional framed wipers...
