Winter Wash and Wax

ive only used DG twice now. first time, i did it as directed in the bottle. put down the 601, then without removing put the 105 on top. did it all by hand. then removed them both. that was rather time consuming because the 601 didnt really spread easily. and taking it off was a bear. also the 601 smells bad, like strong glue.

so this time i put 4:1 105:601 on a blak pad and machine applied. much faster and easier. took it off by hand at it still required good effort despite keeping it thin.

my experience with DG may be related to the colder weather. have never heard anyone complain abt ease of use.

what temp did you do it at and how hard was it to take off? Did you have to use QD?

I have used 501 but haven't mixed it with 601 yet. You're getting me worried...

When i did my test (bonding agent thread) I didn' feel that it was all that hard to get off. No it wasn't as easy as WGDGPS but I also did it in a 70 degree garage.

consistent with my guess that it is related to the cold temps. thanks.

I haven't needed to clean the car after applying the Dura Gloss test strips but I have to say it appears to have more of a shine than it did right after applying the wax.
