Just curious if anyone here uses a specific product for there exposed chrome exhaust tips for the winter? currently use Eagle one original mag and aluminum wheel polish, although not meant for chrome, its does clean and polish all metal surfaces, and according to the instructions, it states,"Directions, not rec for use on delicate chrome surfaces, apply w terry cloth or sponge applicator on chrome rub gently w towel, buff to a shine, on other metals rub gentley until a black residue appears, do not allow to dry out, buff to a shine"

ive used EO only twice thus far on my Santa Fe, is there another product out there that will protect for the elements better for the harsh winter, or is this product fine?

I've cleaned many cars with those type exhausts. The owners never ever cleaned them, and after I cleaned with appropriate cleaners, they looked brand new. I wouldn't worry about it. Just try to keep them clean throughout the winter. It will take many many years before you see any problems. I use Mother's metal Polish and it works great.

After you have polished it, throw on a long lasting sealant. Although I do not have a chrome exhaust, I polish up mine and seal it up with Zaino Z5.
