Window Wax

I'm looking for something that I could wax my windows with like I do my paint. I just happened to find Window Wax. I have a couple of glass polishes. The 0000 steel wool with the DP glass polish works well for removing water spots. I'm looking for something to apply to the windows after polishing them.

WINDOW WAX 24 oz from iKitchen.com

I always just use whatever wax/sealant I'm using on the car on the windows, except I stopped using wax on the windshield cuz that just doesn't seem to work so well (sealants seem to do better on windshields). KAIO is good on water spots, and leaves the glass slick, and you can top with SG. A lot of members like Aquapel on their windshields/windows, I also have some limited experience with the AG Diamondite glass sealant or whatever they call it, which seemed to work pretty well from what I was told (used it on a friend's car).

LOL!! I typically will use whatever I am using on the paint as well....but...this one time (at band camp) my wife and I were on our way to Reno, during the winter, and I wanted to make sure all the snow and slush slid right off the windshield. Um.....yeah.....not so much. Once I got up to the snow I realized that, because of the cold, the wax hadn't had a chance to bond....it mixed with the snow and made this wonderful paste all over my windshield....oops!!

Since then I have stuck with Sealants as well.......

post some pics up guys. I mainly would use rain x and that works out well. So sealant can be used on the windows . . . . guess i learned something new

I use the diamondite shield - was doubting its claims at first but it really does "keep" the glass from getting really dirty.

It's a different water beading effect than rain-x. Rain-x would stick on your windshield in big globs, this one would just leave a light mist stick or just fall off.

It's not super obvious until you look through or clean other people's glass...then it's like wow, this one's a winner.

There is a great video on Youtube from a guy in a mini that taped his car over a period of like 100 days with Aquapel and it was amazing to see the beeding after 90 days..

....I typically don't use anything myself other than simply keeping them clean on a regular basis. On my DD, I wipe down the windows several times during the week.

It seems that using the wipers or washer fluid compromises the protection quickly.

That's why I've started using a little ONR with distilled water in my washer fluid tank. That or NXT, Duragloss or another one of my glass cleaners along with distilled water.
