Hi guys, I need help since I'm planning to have my car tint next week, any place you would recommend? thanks :xyxthumbs

Search for reviews in your area on yellowpages.com. That's where I found mine. Just call around, and find the best price. They should all be good. It's typically standard to offer lifetime warranty against peeling, etc.

Completely disagree. Look at the reviews, check out the BBB records, and then go to the shop and look at some of the finished work. What one person thinks is a good tint job, another thinks is total crap. I've seen some mid priced jobs that looked pretty darn good, but no cheap jobs that did. Some things to look for at the tint place:

-Do they use a namebrand, quality film?

-Do they use a machine to cut the film? Not necessary, but it does make for some clean lines

-How close does the tint come to the edge of the window. It looks cheesy if it doesn't go all the way to the top

-How are their cuts, nice and straight?

-Look at the back window, its the hardest one to do. These days I don't think anyone still does mult-piece, but if they do, RUN. Check the corners to make sure there are no "fingers" and that the edges are nice and close

Saving $50 and getting a crappy tint job is not worth it.

if they dont use a film that has the limited lifetime warranty, run. Most/all quality tints these days come with it. I purchased tint for my car online(precut) and took it to a guy that does great work, but he uses cheap tint because by using cheap tint, he can hugely lower his prices and it is what gets him 60+% of his customers (price sells, usually).

Also, check your tint laws before hand.

In my state you can't go below 35% on the two front windows.. And NO tint is allowed on the windshield.

Some tint places don't tell clients this, and they get their windows really dark. Then when they go to have their car inspected it won't pass. They have to tear it off. Cops will give tickets as well.

If you live in a state, with no tint laws you have nothing to worry about. But I thought I would throw out there just in case.

Wow! Thank for all the help and information guys, these will surely help me a lot. As of the moment, I've decided to ask help from TintBuyer. As I read from the other threads, they actually gave me a list of option to find a reputable tint dealer in my area plus they gave a reasonable quotation. :2thumbs:
