Window Cleaning Advice

I don't think there is a way to prevent those. I'm pretty sure it's a type of coating or glass composition. Someone also mentioned UV protection.

I have a pair of Maui Jim's and Oakley's that are polarized and see these patterns while wearing them. It's not as intense as that pic I posted. That pic is from someone's blog taking a pic through sunglasses. The window is a boat window. It really bothers me when I see those, but I can always change my sunglasses :D

Well at least now I know I am not the only one with the problem

Looking through a pair of polarized sunglasses reveals the strain pattern or cross-hatching effect on tempered glass...such as on the rear window. This pattern can appear as lines, splotches or large dots in the glass. These stresses or stress points are created during the glass tempering process.

You'll probably will not see this effect on the windshield since it's made from laminated glass.

....the image is quite psychedelic though....I feel like having a tub of cherry garcia right now...
