Will this work?

Ok, so my plan had been, for the my new car:

- Pinnacle AFP
- Zaino

However, it was brought to my attention that the Pinnacle AFP has: "The diminishing abrasive technology, combined with the lubricant-rich lotion, guarantees a safe, swirl-free process."

I'd rather not buy yet more product in my confusion to get this right if I don't have to. Will a simple Z7 wash after the AFP do the trick, or am I really going to have to get a finishing polish that doesn't have any oils, etc. in it before applying Zaino?

If you are concerned about the bonding of the Pinnacle and Zaino you may want to choose one or the other. Zaino has an abrasive polish that can be used with the rest of the line up. Or you can outfit your detailing arsenal with other LSPs that can bond to other polishes. Its up to you what you want to do. Personally, I have never used Zaino but I guess it might get tricky with the bonding issues. Good luck.

As I was reading in another forum about this kind of thing it was brought to my attention that one could do an ISA wipedown of the paint that would give you a very good surface to apply Zaino sealants.

While I don't happen to be a Zaino user, I think I would use their products exclusively during the prep, application, and maintenance.
They have a product for each step and if you use them exclusively, it seems like that would give you the best results.

If you feel like buying the ZPC, then go with that. If you want to use what you have, the Pinnacle stuff will be fine. The IPA wipedown as mentioned would be enough to prep for Z-1 or Zfx.
