will SSR2/1 do anything for THESE??

just went to poorboys web site. what is the difference between SSR1 & SSR2? says they both remove light oxidation and etc. but how do you decide between SSR1 &SSR2?
SSR1 is a light duty abrasive which can be used like a final polish or glaze. Carnauba products and most synthetic waxes can be applied directly over top of SSR1 with good results. SSR2 will remove more moderate surface imperfections and should be followed up with a less abrasive polish (SSR1, PP, PwC) for best results.

Without seeing your car's finish, it's hard to say which products would be better for your situation. It would be helpful if you could post pictures like Aheyn did above.

Thanks awd330 don't have a specific problem yet. i'm just starting up and researching products to use. your post helped out thanks again.

Dtail - I also have Menzerna polishs but so far I have not removed those spider webs. Granted, the car is leaps and bounds better than my starting point. But I'm a novice trying to learn. Using a PC and IP and FP - what would you do for spider webs like those? IP on a cutting pad? What speed? How long? ...

I've used IP to remove most of my light scratches using meguiars polishing pad. How deep are your swirls/spider webs? Usually i work on a small section at a time with a decent amount of time. I work on the product until it's almost gone. I feel like when IP is worked in properly and a good amount of time, it removes more defect than the DACP. If IP with a polishing pad wouldn't do it, use a cutting pad to get more bite. If it still not enough, menzerna powergloss will be your best bet.

The spiderwebbing is very faint - not to the extent of the photos here. - I have some ugly etched spots though!!

Until it's almost gone ... hmmm. Maybe, I'm not working it long enough.

What speed do you generally use?

When using swirl removing types of products, I generally start around PC speed 2 to spread the product over the surface. Then, I increase the speed to about 5 to work the product.
