Will PCL remove Klasse AIO layer

I have a black Lincoln LS that I plan to detail tomorrow. I have AIO and 2 coats of S100 on it. I have the following at my disposal:

1. AIO

2. SG

3. S100

4. Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

5. Souveran paste

6. Menzerna FP

7. PC with white and grey CMA pads



The paint has been recently clayed and polished with Menzerna FP. I was wondering if I could use PCL and remove (?) the S100 layers while leaving the AIO layer and then top off with the Souveran. I wanted to PCL as an easy method to hide swirls for now until spring comes (along with some DACP). I'm aware that there are other processes I can do. What would you recommend?
 
PPCL has mild abrasives that will polish away whatever is on the surface. That includes what (if any) protection that the AIO has left on the surface. Its not going to hide any swirls. Its not a filler.



With what you have I would suggest just using the AIO to remove the S100 and then go from there. Why use an abrasive when no polishing is necessary? Just use the AIO and then SG and then top that with carnauba.



If you are just going to wait till spring before you can really polish out the swirls then I would suggest waiting till spring. Its not really that far away. You might as well wait since its going to take nearly as much effort to do what you are talking about rather than just break out the DACP and do the job right. If its warm enough to spend a couple hours using PPCL, AIO and a carnauba then its probably warm enough to do the rest of the prep work as well.
 
You prolly have AIO and one coat of S100 cuz I don't think S100 layers well. Just do what Jngrbrdman suggested. If you want to be a littl more harsh Dawn wash the car it will remove the S100 and should leave the AIO .. None the less the least invasive is as Jngrbrdman stated.
 
Thanks to both of you. I was under the impression that PPCL was a mild polish that would hide swirls. I guess maybe what I was looking for was an AIO/glaze/carnauba process.



I will do the AIO/SG and decide if I want to top with the S100 or Souveran.
 
madazskunk- Gotta take that "nonabrasive" bit with a grain of salt. PCL has always been slightly abrasive, and the latest version (the one sold for the last four or five years) is even a little stronger than the previous one.



As I recall (this was from Irene at TOL), the abrasive in PCL is about the same as talcum powder. VERY mild, but slightly abrasive nonetheless. It's usually not abrasive enough to be noticeable on basecoat/clear paint, but it will cut through whatever's on there now.



So yeah, between the abrasive and the citrus-based cleaner, it'll almost certainly take you down to bare paint. Opinions seem to vary as to PCL having fillers or not, but don't expect it to hide much marring.
 
If you start with Menzerna Intensive Polish and then go to FP you will probably be much happier with the results. I have found that FP will not remove swirl marks by itself.
 
I ended up going the AIO/SG route. I will add subsequent layers in the next few weeks.

As an aside, a neighbor who has a black 50s Chevy pickup (Meguiar's 3-step program, winner of 6 1st places in cars shows) was admiring the Klasse'd car. I may have sold him on S100 though because next to my girlfriend's Lincoln was my blue Miata that has AIO/SG x5/S100 x5. He likes the easy application and non-staining aspects of the S100. Maybe another Autopian in the making (?).
