Will CMA carry these new polishing pads??

Is this a joke?

here is from the website:

Within every pad, are a series of metal spikes. When the pad is worn out, the foam breaks down, then the metal spines penetrate the cloth, and leave a visual indication on your vehicle, so you know when it's time to replace the pad! Compatible with any common buffer, or can also be used by hand.

If the metal spike penetrate the cloth, won't the "visual indication left on your vehicle" be deep circular scratches down to raw metal????

I replaced my exhaust X-pipe with the Kaleco O-pipe.

You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish. Product shown is dual input O-Pipe with standard finish.

Metal Spikes?:eek: In a pad?!!:scared::confused: I think I'll stick with my LC's...:cool:

Is it April 1st already?

I can just see how that'll boost business:

Detail man: "Yes Mr. Smith I have you down to correct the paint on your Ferrari this Monday. Hey Mr. Smith, gues what?! We have new polishing pads here, they have METAL SPIKES in them to tell us when the pad's worn out. Very cool huh?"

Mr. Smith: ".............................................................. dial tone."

Detail guy: "Mr. Smith, hello... Mr. Smith; are you still there?"

wait... let me get this straight.... i'm trying to get my paint as smooth as a babies bottom, and you want me to try these pads that have metal spikes in them.... you funny man:huh:

Typical ME couldn't leave well enough alone...

I didn't like how the spikes were only near the middle of the pad so I took the spikes out of a second pad to install them on the outer edges on the first pad.

It worked! I knew IMMEDIATELY when the pad was worn because those spikes really dug in and twisted the fender clean off. Oh- I was using my Sioux rotary, which uses a three phase, 50 amp motor and spins a whopping 18,000 RPM through its optional but rare secondary offsite transmission (you know how amperage and speed is all the rage these days).

I was able to locate this bad boy via eBay (I love eBay).

I wish now that I would have left well enough alone.

We have our lawyers looking into this exciting technology, although I am disappointed that Meguiar's or Lake Country doesn't offer this first.

Meguiar's lawyers are looking into this as well as there seems to have been some corporate espionage at play here. We had plans on introducing these in time for Valentine's Day 2010, at which time we planned on partnering with Cutco Knives and introduce a "His & Her's" Auto Polishing & Food Processing Kit.

Sure, some bugs still needed to be worked out but we were getting really, really close. To think these guys are trying to snatch this emerging market segment out from under us is really annoying. Ever since we discontinued our Furniture Polish Line we've been working on a replacement. We thought this was it.

Back to the drawing board, as they say. :blacksmith:

Too bad they don't also carry a Reverse Fragnosticator!
Man, I'd kill to have one of those.
Made out of Un-obtainium, you know.

Don't believe the hype about those Reverse Fragnosticators. I saved up for months in order to purchase one (coincidentally from the very same supplier that sells the metal-spiked polishing pads) and it turned out to be a total rip-off. The damn thing fell apart after 2 weeks and only 4 actual fragonstics! Then the manufacturer refused to honor the warranty, saying that I didn't use it for its intended purpose. All in all, I would recommend against getting one.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up.
Saves me from spending my hard-earned Gold-pressed Latinum!
Roots, you rock!

I have had my eye on the flux capacitor for some time now. If only I had the cash.

That's not actually an "Dr. Emmit Brown" approved F.C, his are WAY more money. With some of those cheaper Flux Capacitor's you could end up in 1958 BC:w00t: instead of going back to the mid fifties to pick up a brand new Caddy/Vette etc.

You definitely want a Dr. Brown approved unit... heard it here first!

Wow thanks Roadrunner. I was reading about the Emmit Brown F.C. The artical stated to priming the F.C. is the key for the best results in time travel. They referred to it as the Emmit Brown method. Looked fantastic.
