Will Clay Remove Wheel Sealant?

Have one coat on there already, but that was put on maybe a month and a half ago... never got to adding extra coats.

If I S&W the wheel and then hit it with clay again (in case anything has become bonded)... will the clay take off the first layer?

Just want to add multiple layers without sealing any pitted brakedust in.

if the surface is still smooth it might not take it all, only polishing them will guarantee the removal of all the prior coat.
