Ok I used Klasse SG on the car and got to some points and realized I probably should have clayed, especially the horizontal surfaces. If I go back after next wash and clay is that going to remove my first layer of SG? By the way, I've had this SG for a few years. I think I had stopped using it on my previous car because I was a turd and applied it too thick and it was a nightmare to buff off. This time around, I got one of those little bottles with a sprayer on it, put some SG in it, and turned it to a fine mist spray and just misted the applicator that way instead of pouring it from the bottle. Seemed to make it apply much more evenly and thin, as it should be.

Probably will, but it really isn't that hard to reapply anyhow? Isn't applying a LSP the funnest part of detailing?
You can apply SG as thick as you want (it is better to apply thin though), all you have to do is walk away from the vehicle for an hour or two, and it will wipe off super easy. Or use WOWO method, or a detailing spray.

Regulars here know that I clay my vehicles all the time without compromising my LSPs (Last Step Products, in this case KSG); I spot-clay as needed at every wash and I go a gentle claying before refreshing my LSP (without removing the existing LSP).
BUT....if you only have one coat of KSG on there, and if you clay more aggressively than I do (most probably do), and/or if you're using a clay that's more aggressive than my Sonus Ultra-fine....then yeah, you'll probably take off enough of your existing KSG that you oughta put on some more after you do the claying. I'd at least *expect* that to be the case and be prepared to reapply; then if it does *not* remove it (you oughta be able to feel the KSG if it's still there) then you could put off redoing the KSG for a little while.
Note that if the contamination you want to clay off is *under* the KSG, you'll have to *clay through* that KSG to get to/remove said contamination anyhow, in which case, well...no more KSG because you just clayed it away.
FWIW, IMO one of the primary benefits of using KSG is that it can be heavily layered; I always go for at least four layers for the best look and I consider six to be optimal with regard to durability. IMO/IME one layer of KSG isn't much protection and is inferior to one coat of Collinite brand paste wax. Two layers of KSG is about the same as the Collinite. Three or more layers of KSG and you'll start to obtain the true benefits of using that particular product.

Thanks guys. I'll probably just go ahead and clay the whole thing and not worry about what it removes. Yeah I really enjoyed applying the SG this time and it seemed to buff off easily. I did walk away for about an hour and come back. I'll probably do a layer of SG after the next 5 or so consecutive washes.
