Will be detailing a new 2006 Dodge Charger R/T!

Next week I will be detailing my girlfriend's Dad's new Go Man-Go Orange Dodge Charger R/T Daytona. If you guys aren't familiar with this car, it has the Daytona package, which means it gets some awesome vinyls on the hood, trunk, and rear fenders. Since I have never dealt with graphics like these before, I figured I would ask on here to see what I should use on them to protect them. :buffing:

Also, I ordered some products this week to try out. I've always used Zaino, and never dealt with any carnubas, polishes, etc and I was wondering if I could get some advice on which order to go in with my new products.

I was thinking I would do Poorboys SSR1 via PC7336 with a blue pad, but after that I wasn't sure what order to go in with these products.

Klasse AIO

Poorboy's Natty's Blue Paste

OCW

P21S Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

Z-16 Claybar

Z-6 Quick Detail Spray

Thanks in advance for your help!

they're just like clear bras that you put on the front end of cars. you go over the clear bra the same way you go over paint, so id say do the same thing with the daytona's vinyl graphics.

The vinyl is a flat black color though, instead of clear like a clearbra. As long as the products will come off of it, I don't have any problem. I just want something to protect them. :)

I had black vinyl graphics installed on my previous car. I would wax them like the rest of the body. DO NOT wax the edges of the vinyl. After the wax dries you will see what i mean. You might want to spot test first.

Okay, I will avoid the edges of the vinyl.

Here is what I was thinking:

Wash

Clay

Wash

NXT

AIO

Natty's Blue

OCW

Could I skip any steps in that, or should I change any around?

AIO will completely remove NXT. NXT does have cleaning properties as well, but not NEARLY as strong as AIO, so it won't totally remove it. So just switch the order of those two.

I'd do:

wash

clay

(if you want, wash again)

AIO

OCW

Nattys Blue

And as far as the vinyls, you should be able to use the same products as the paint, but I wouldn't use any abrasives on them. They'd easily scratch.

AIO > OCW x 2 > wait 24 hours and top with Natty's Blue.

BTW, plan to spend some time on it, those Chargers are big ol' honkin' cars!

I am doing my inlaws black Honda Accord this weekend with OCC, OCP and OCW then Nattys blue.

I wont be able to wait 24 hours after applying OCW before the nattys wax.

Is it really nessesary to wait and if I don't what will the disavantages be?

Disadvantages will probably be limited to decreased durability. Plenty of people, myself included, have topped sealants way before 24hrs have past.

Someone else might have another disadvantage in mind.
