thinking about wetsanding car for first time.

just small area on side of hood.

(car is 12 yrs old no biggie if mess up)

i don't have a pc yet (saving up) just a $40 orbital buffer i got a walmart.

do you think its possible to get satisfactory results using an orbital after wetsanding? or is a pc mandatory when buffing back shine?

many thanks:)

If you finish wetsanding with 2000 grit you can get it out by hand. Not sure how much pressure can be applied with a walmart buffer. But if it's just a small section you can build up a lot of friction and heat to get them out by hand. I can claim this from experience. Terrry towel, 3M 39002 is what I used. Meguiars unigrit (2000) Best of luck to you. :up

I still have my old walmart heap, it never did much for me. However some on here have had good results.

Like Jake said, you can get 2000 grit out by hand....

IMO keep saving for the PC (if it's what you want), also, check local pawn shops as they pop up from time to time.
