Will a PC be worth it just for polishing and waxing?

I'll provide a total newbie perspective. I just did my first polish and waxing with my new PC 7424 over the past week. I can say for sure that I am super grateful I had the PC for the polishing step at least. It saved me a lot of time and, perhaps more importantly, effort. I'm pretty sure I was able to correct some defects even using a mild product and pad that would have been a chore by hand. And even though I am totally inexperienced, I did not have any problem with polish or wax getting flung about.

I probably could have waxed faster with just a foam pad, but I enjoyed the experience of trying it with the PC. I don't have a bonnet so I did all removal by hand. I have to say I rather liked the intimacy of that process. Through the machine, I suspect, you don't get to feel how wonderfully smooth the surface is under the towel.

I may only use the PC a few times a year, but I'm glad to have it. I'm sure I've wasted more money on less useful things.

Accumulator, cgage, UpNorth, thanks for your advice. I just finished a hood with PA using my new UDM. It was great applying it! Hands didn't hurt at all. Removal . . . . ehhhh, not that good. Would've been much faster by hand, and I needed to ensure complete removal by hand. Overall, glad to have it for the application of PA. Need to try AJ application next :)

what if you use zaino? wouldnt it be wasteful? I guess I could use it with their new paint polisher. how much faster is pc compared to applying by hand?

thanks!

Zaino by PC is great! I find I get more even coverage than applying by hand, and get a thinner coat. That being the case, you really don't use any more product -- its not wasteful, just faster and better.
