Why use a wax on top of a polymer sealant?

The statement I've made apply to polymer technology not specific car care products. Cross-linking (molecular bonds) apply to all polymers, regardless of which car care product they are used in

The information comes from what I?ve learned from a 35 year career as an Engineer in the Petrochemical industry

I made no reference to how a polymer will adhere to anything, I specifically said "forms a molecular bond" with ...

I do not know any of the specifics of the formula used for car care products. That is proprietary information. I can only make general statements that apply to polymers not a specific brand products, so some specifics may not apply

Like the Ford vs Chevy or Miller vs Bud, it's what you like that matters. I consider the look of a sealant as best, with BFWD as my go-to #1 choice. However, I just tried Autoglym HD over BFWD (the WD had been applied 2 months prior) and although the BFWD was still beading, the AG gave it a look that was nothing short of amazing.

TOGWT, dude I am impressed. I, too, was wondering where you got your stuff from. As I understand it, you're not being brand specific...but your comments are about sealants, "theoretically". Cool stuff.
