Why no polishing after repray?

Did someone tell you a re-painted car could not be polished?



a) As long as the polish is not a machine polish (i.e. aggressive) it should not cause problems

b) Polish and wax to some people are the same, I’ve been asked “What’s the difference between a wax and a polish�? so many times.

I was thinking about a machine polish. The only thing I can think of is the paint would still be to soft to polish without risk
 
Well, the paint *will* continue to harden throughout the curing process, but paint shops wetsand/compound/polish fresh paint all the time. I too think it's a matter of speaking overly-generally so that the shop has covered itself in case someone botches things up.
