Why IronX ? - facts and FAQ's

Do you apply to the applicator or to the surface? Getting 3-4 huge SUV's out of a 16 oz. bottle?

Just mist it on to ensure good coverage, it will run slightly and cover the 'bare' spots. I have not noticed any increase in performance by really spraying it on.

I wasn't given a sprayer with my order, so I had to use another one I had. I assume it dispensed too much product. It also sprayed it out in a slight pink color, which means I likely reacted with the metal spring in the trigger.

I think ALL orders of the stuff need the new sprayer included. I have one more bottle of the stuff........Avi can you send me the proper trigger?

As for drying effect, I attribute that to very low humidity here in Utah?

This was my first time using the stuff and noticed that when it reacted (turned purple) I would agitate it with a horse hair brush to keep exposing the chemical to the iron, if I didn't do this it wouldn't remove all the iron. In other words if I just sprayed it and let dwell, rinsed before it dried I got less desirable results than if I agitated it.

I don't think iron x is a replacement for claying as a lot of other non reactive metals and particle will remain in the paint with just ironX. The purple reaction served as "tracers" for a final claying IME.

Cheers,
GREG

I would agree with that sentiment. The big advantage to IronX is that it does remove a lot of iron particulates which makes clay bars last longer and also makes the claying procedure go a bit faster since it's not having to pick up as much off the surface.

I just received my order and it came with the sprayer. Which size did you order?

I ordered two 500mL bottles, they didn't come with triggers!

I tried to get CarPro to help me out, but that didn't work. While I can use another generic trigger it presents two problems: first the triggers I have dispense TOO MUCH product/ spray....secondly the internals of the trigger have metal in them.

Either way I shouldn't have to go around trying to fix this, I should just get a trigger with each bottle.....right?

Cheers,
GREG

Maybe you should contact the vendor you purchased it from? I bought my bottle from AG and it came with the new spray nozzle in the package.

My understanding is only very recently did the triggers change so I also have one with metal parts. After use I rinsed it with water and I keep it seperate from the bottle. I just cap it when on the shelf

I'M CONFUSED u say in your write up u can use it on chrome yet when u go to buy it it reads "
Manufacture’s Note: Iron X should not be used on chrome, bare metal parts, brake calipers, wheel balancing weights, or SMART paint repairs. Mask off these areas. Avoid letting Iron X dry on any surface."

which one is correct?

thanks!

I think that ad copy is out of date; from what I recall Avi said the formula had been changed at some point and it is now safe for use on chrome.

From experience I can say that I've never had a problem with using it on chrome, at least.

I got the sprayer for the iron X, it dispenses much better now. I'm sure I'll use less. Thanks AVI for the help.

GREG

I would agree with this 100% THe first srapy out of mine this weekend was almost brown, but after that it was just like normal. Took care of some baked on brake dust in no time!

I agree, IronX really works well at what it does. Money saved in clay life and lots of money saved in much less clay time. :rockon
