Why I wish it would warm up enough to wash my car

I'll let the pictures speak for me. Keep in mind the paint on my car is <3 months old.

I haven't been able to find a tunnel wash open while it's this cold and it's too cold to get out and do it myself without the water freezing on the car.

Hasn't been any better up this way, we're lucky if we break 20 degrees and it just drizzle's snow every day.

Just got in from washing my whip in the garage. I feel your pain though. There's gotta be a Touchless open somewhere near you that's not crowded and open.

Why not just to go to a coin op and quick spray off the salt, its better than letting it sit even if the water does freeze a little.

Yeah a buck fifty for a few minutes of pressure water and maybe soap it down a bit. Wear insulated gloves though - personal experience :)

Your lucky you have 30, we have a high of -10 today... Car hasn't been washed in weeks, salt is caked on... Should have my ONR on wed. though, but I don't think it will matter, it's way too cold....

Today:

Plentiful sunshine. High around 75F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow:

Mostly sunny skies. High 76F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Sorry guys.......

I truely wish we had a winter here....

My windows and doors were frozen shut today.

You know its cold when the tears on your eyes feel like they are about to freeze over.

Yeah, I seriously wanna move there... Weather must get boring after a while though, no?

Seriously guys, I hate it here. Its either hot, windy, or hot and windy. I say bring on the 50's, big Cumulonimbus clouds, and some downpours!

Currently it is 9 degrees here in western Pennsylvania with a wind chill of -5. I took my van to a touchless car wash today. For $6, it did a bad job.

Coin op will freeze your windows shut; get some ONR and an attached garage if you can.

It got all the way up to 25 (whooo hooo! LOL) and I hit the coin op for a quick rinse. The car was already warmed up, so no worries about getting frozen out. Rinsed off most of the salt and was left with just a handful of frozen drops of water when I pulled back on the road.

Then, about an hour and a half later on the highway we hit a semi tire in the middle of the lane and ripped off the rear bumper of the car. It was dark, we were coming over a slight crown in the road and it wasn't visible until the last second. The tire was dead center in our lane with a truck on the right and a guard rail on the left, so no place to avoid the impact. Well, at least my car with go to the body shop (yet again) with less salt on it, right?
