Yep! Until very recently I owned two black vehicles. Nothing like them though; but here it's really probably best they just be show cars or non daily drivers because you roast! Super kudos to your wife for it being a *van* and a daily driver! :xyxthumbs

I use to own a black MR-2, worst situation ever! I'd detail it and the next day the dust/dirt would already be showing on it. At least for the first couple of hours after a detail it would be sex on wheels

Silver is also a "stealth" color... a friend who is a Massachusetts State Trooper convinced me to go with a silver or gray Mustang after telling me that the color I originally wanted (Screaming Yellow) is 1000% more likely to be stopped for playing "Right Foot and Pedal Symphony in Ford Major" than a silver/gray car... mine is Tungsten Gray and I am glad that I chose wisely! :xyxthumbs:headbang:

My silver Maxima seems to be invisible to the police.

While silver is a "stealth" color it (IMHO) is also the most bland of colors, especially for a car that demands to be seen.



My second car is silver/grey in color and it is my last choice for a color (picked it up cheap so I can't complain).



My last two cars, (SRT8 & SRT4) had to be in the loudest, brightest color to reflect their personality...Yellow. Looks great when it's not-so-clean and outstanding when it's polished.



Besides, aren't you secretly wishing you had Yellow like that Prowler you just detailed

The Carbon Metallic on my Yukon drove me nuts, I found it *worse* than straight black because it was harder to inspect. At least with regular black I could see the flaws easily when I wanted to. OK OK, most people would be happy to not see micromarring most of the time but I always go back to my "clearcoat is clearcoat, it's marred or it's not". That particular paint was the biggest PIA I've ever lived with. Simply couldn't have gotten by without the SunGun. Which brings me to...

So maybe I eventually just ought to look into a Sun Gun and have something that lasts for a long time ( I hope!)

I think Barry likes his current light even better than the SunGun. The latter's batterlife is simply *AWFUL*, as in, oughta buy a spare or two.

Hey, that makes me think...maybe that's how I got my "I don't care if it's dirty, as long as it's not marred" mindset! I drove black cars for years and yeah...one day later it looked dirty again.
