Why has superbee been banned?

weak sauce! I found both of their posts tremendously helpful. I think these guys were assets to the community and their perma-ban should be reconsidered!

i think with constant arguing/debating overtime *not directed towards anyone in specific* with any product and/or opinion, it becomes tiresome and i'm guessing sometimes negative as a whole as well... :nixweiss

if they're banned permanently, I'd like to start a petition to reinstate their Autopia membership effective immediately :)

No, but when you CONSTANTLY whine about how it does something, and have no examples (pictures or otherwise) to back it up, it gets really tiresome to read.... We're talking MULTIPLE threads that this had occurred.

Those pics Todd posts on click and brag of high end vehicles though sure are killer. I'd rather look at those anyway :grinno:

Wow, definitely am surprised. Maybe we should all be looking to contribute to other detailing forums if we are to fear for what we say and prove about particular products. That's quite a shame that Autopia has changed so much since the earlier days.

I don't know the specifics of who got banned and why ..... but from what I remember about that thread is that it degenerated from being a discussion about detailing products into mudslinging and personal attacks about integrity and character.

I know people are passionate about what they do, but sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and live and let live. This is a forum about detailing products, process, results, etc. Keep the discussions about detailing, not about personal conflicts. It's ok to disagree, but keep it cordial and respectful.

I'm not perfect, I'm human, and sometimes I let my emotions get the better of me too.

Maybe things got too heated and the moderator needed to give a few people a "time out" to cool off.

tricky when you are passionate about something though, to just let it go.

I didnt read anything in that thread that really justified the banning of such helpful and estabnlished forum members.

I'm sure that most detailers are members of other Forums too, I know I have seen some of you on other boards and you know that some are more strict than Autopia when it comes to posting, MOL comes to mind - you play nice or else! But I respect that, afterall, we are really guests and the host has the right to ask you to leave. I have agreed and disagreed with Todd in the past, it's the old - put 10 detailers on a car and you'll get 10 opinions on how to do it, but that's fine as long as we don't get too "gotta have the last word" about it. I respect him and SuperBee, learned a lot (Todd, you're right about M21 2.0 - very under-rated) but I think they were walking on thin ice (warned, time outs in the past) and maybe the powers that be decided less drama was best.

I agree that both those named members have been very helpful contributors, I've enjoyed and learned a lot from their posts, and I do hope they return.

I was just saying I think it got a little heated and personal, so maybe the moderator decided to chill things out for a while.

I'm saddened to see the two of them banned as well. Hopefully they'll be back soon. Supe was extremely helpful, and always took the time to answer every stupid newb question I had. My thoughts are as follows: After the whole Menzerna thread, the two of them had quotes as their signatures from Jeff Silver....They were probably asked to remove them, and after they refused, they were banned.

*This is strictly my opinion! I haven't talked to either of them outside of the board, nor do I have the means to do so. This was a complete hypothetical.
