Why doesn't anybody mention using Pro Products?

Sigh...the company with that douche bag that posts YouTube videos in his shirt that is two sizes too small whilst bashing competitors and butchering common knowledge vocabulary such as "polish?"

They also conveniently forget to enable comments on their videos, oh, and their corporate e-mails all fail to work.

Just on principal alone I would never touch their products...the guy representing them is a TOTAL d-bag.

do you have a link to the videos on you tube? id love to see them ..

Production car care has been around and they had a local distributor here selling like crazy. The distributor has left and now a guy selling Instafinish products has taken over but he is also leaving. I contacted Production several times and got no response by email and phone, so I kept calling and talked to one of the Bohler's who sounded like he was interested in bringing production back to the area. After several weeks the info never came and I havent been able to get in contact. What a joke! The only reason I even contacted them was because a few shops asked that I get these products back to them so they didnt have to order online.

Honestly, the Production products are average at best with a few good one's in between. They are geared towards guys pumping out cars all day and botique style products are not of interest. A few local mechanics use the degreaser's and the dealerships buy these products by the barrel. I just cant get behind the business practice of some people.

I even added this guy to my friends on Youtube lol.

Haha my bad on confusing the companies, but WOW that guy irks me.

He applies the products based on the directions for what is optimal for HIS brand, and uses the same technique for the competitor even if it is totally wrong. He used about 10 or 12 sprays of UQD when he should have used 2. Too much UQD = haze... really fair comparison.

I read the original post and got the same idea!!! LOL

I think we've all tried to post comments on his youtube videos but he won't permit comments.

In fact, if he was so sure of his stuff, don't you think we'd see him at a forum like this, where he could prove it to us, "one customer at a time". :LOLOL

That was some funny stuff.

- I love how he "worked" the quick detailer into the paint as long as he had the polish. With quick detailer it is spray on then wipe off. How can you "work it"?

- Then Another video, he compared his spray polish to stainless steel cleaner on paint.

Why would anyone use stainless steel cleaner on paint. :grinno:

- I have used spray wax and you need to buff the excess off and it streaks if too much is used. Seems like this clown doesn't realize that.

- Has he ever heard of washing his car first. In this video, he uses polish on a filthy hood. From what I learned here and other places, polishing on top of dirt can damage the paint. YouTube - Meguiars easily defeated outside of Kragen

Wow, This guy would be great as a host for infomercials. Maybe he can get in with the Sham-Wow people.

two different companies. i believe the OP is talking about "pro" car-care products, not "production" with phil boler... PRO Car Beauty Online-Home

BTW ... we all know that phil boler of production doesn't do equal/even comparisons with his products and megs. i saw one video where a guy used a rotary buffer with a production product and megs colorx. colorx was never meant to be used with a rotary. unfortunately, the list goes on...

edit: here's the video... YouTube - Production vs Meguiars at L&G Detail

What a clown. What a completely dishonest comparison. Love to see him use #83 instead...but that probably wouldn't make his products look good.

I had to watch this one twice after reading this thread. I love the bare handed washing technique with the glass cleaner used on the demo car.

YouTube - Side By Side with Blue Coral

*** ????????

Seemed like a SNL spoof.

WOW WOW WOW... A hand wash with a new meaning... haha. Don't think I would be thrilled to see that done to my car, unless it was from one of your models...:har:

Sorry if anyone got confused that Pro products were Production, but those videos were a joke. Glad to hear I wasnt the only one who knows about Pro. I appreciate all the great feedback, as it really helps! Thank you!

My dad used to buy pro stuff a lot, but now i think we are beyond that. Pro is really meant for the "detail shops" where they do a 1/2 A$$ job in a hurry so they can make money. Autopians detail cars the right way because we care about them do for for more than just the cash, that is why we never mention PRO.

On a side note, I do have a gallon of PRO miracle wax that has been sitting in my garage for a few years. I used it on the cars before i found autopia. It is not terrible stuff, it sure makes the lawn mowers & tractor look great.
