Maybe that is your opinion of the "truth" but that does not make it so. I've said it several times before...not everyone that uses this site are mind numbed idiots incapable of making informed decisions. Just because they see a picture of a shiny car with product X on it does not mean product X will be sold out from the local vendor in a matter of seconds. You need to give people (and this site) some credit.
As far as my "quality posts" Bret...at least they are positive in nature. I see that someone worked long and hard to get their ride as clean as possible and I have NO PROBLEM throwing them a quick compliment. They deserve it. SO....go get me some pom-pom's and a short skirt and call me the official Autopian Cheerleader...that doesn't bother me one bit. I'd like to keep folks coming back to this site and to actually feel good when they do.

1 Clean WS6, I wouldnt take Brets post too personally. In the beginning years on this site, it was considered bad taste to post gratuitous smileys and thumbs up for the sake of political correctness or just jumping in a discussion. They expected all posts to question, criticize, or add content. Hes one of those old board members that expects posts to add quality to the discussion in some way.

I have to say I am very disappointed by members here making these personal attacks against my friend Bret. He is a quality person and knowledgeable, experienced detailer.
I think it would be better for the value of the board if we stop these needless personal attacks and focus on the product.
Bret's earlier comments regarding people on Autopia being product champions of a new product before thorough evaluation rings true to me and I think he was trying to be of service to remind people of this very real phenomena.

If I took the attacks on me personally I would have stopped coming to this site one month after I joined. I actually enjoy the banter. I refuse to use my "ignore" function for just that reason.
If there is one thing I have taken away from my time here at Autopia it is that the site has changed from what it once was and that a very small group of folks that were here from Autopia's "born on date" resent that change. I respect that...BUT...I do not respect the incipient attacks on folks that actually enjoy Autopia for what it is today. If you do not like what the site is then just do not post here anymore and go start your own new "gentleman's club" where your vision of what a detailing site should be is the norm. These underhanded blasts directed at the site do nothing to help it nor will they assist in bringing the site back to what it once was. They just add a negative tone to an otherwise very hospitable site.
One other thing that I would like to see is the proof of all these "black helicopter" theories of shady product promotion, crooked vendors and an otherwise corrupted Autopia. I have heard umteen million accusations of how the site it now nothing more than a product pusher but NOT ONE solid piece of evidence proving this. I personally have never received a product sample from anyone and then been told to give a glowing review with the promise that I would receive more free stuff....have you ??
