Why am i getting holograms

Is there another way of looking for holograms without direct sunlight?



I've noticed that fluorescent lighting and the mercury lamps from the street do an excellent job of making swirls visible...sometimes too good...

AFAIK, bright, natural sunlight is still the final test for holograms. If I can't use that, I assume I have them and procede accordingly.



FWIW, I can only see the *worst* marring unde fluorescents, but incandescents work well enough that I can usually avoid surprises under those parking lot lights at night.

what kind of floro's cfl's? t5's t8's, my floros are worthless and finding marring.

Any and all of them. All the ones I've tried were just as bad for me as yours are for you. I even inspected some stuff (not a car ) under "special" fluorescents in an art gallery, and they weren't any better.



But I hear (from the MIA Bill D) that white paint shows marring under fluorescents fairly well. I just stick with halogens and incandescents (I turn out the flourescents when I inspect).
