Who's still using nuba as their LSP

nuba once a month for me

usually its megs 26 but sometimes i top it with souveran, not sure if its a waste of a good nuba, but hey, it looks nice

=D

my favorite look on my car is carnuba such as collinite , or megs #26 over a couple layers of klasse... its just not the same without the carnuba, too shallow and plasticy looking almost, very shiny though.. carnuba helps make it look deeper and darker which i love. meguiars #26 darkens very well, and is one of my favorites.

+1 for meg's 26

very good wax at a very good price and it smells great lol

I'm getting into the high end nubas now.... and I love the look.

BUT. I don't find myself recommending it to customers. Sure the nuba looks great, but sealant is nice too and lasts way longer. How do you tell your customers, "yeah you need to have me out again in 1-2 months....or i can do it again in 6 months?"

I'll use a sealant on customers cars too...just not on my own rides. :bigups

I was using zaino for a few years, but you can't help but love the look a good quality nuba leaves on a black car. I prefer the deep black rather than the reflective black.

I love nuba's so much that if I could find a way to take a bath in it I would. Plus, most of them smell so damn good. #26 bannana and have you had a chance to smell Fuzion? my last customer actually tried to see if his car smelled like the wax.

^ lol fergnation! that'd make some awesome marketing for the wax companies :D

oh, and i still use stickly nuba on my s2000. Souveran, and more lately nothing but supernatural. nice deep wet shine though i don't like the full tub of v2.02 as much as i liked my v2.00/2.01 (more gainy consistency that was slicker which led to longer beading). she gets waxed once a month anyways though. the beater gets nothing but sealant, and gets its quarterly wax when it gets its quarterly wash ;)

customers get a mix of collinite/souveran/nxt2.0/lusso oro depending on what they're interested in

I always keep a sealant down. However, after a detail of my own vehicle and once or twice a year, I add a cranuba just because I love using them. I would do it once a month if I had time.

The Collinite 476S and 845 that I use on one of the dog-haulers might be considered carnauba/synthetic hybrids

Hey Accum,

EisenHulk and myself were just talking about this recently. It would seem 476S has to be a hybrid of some sort (sythetic wax or sealant mixed with Nuba?) to have the durability it has. Earlier this week EisenHulk and myself met and I traded him some polish for a pint of PO85RD and a tin of 476S. I was looking at the tin and nowhere could I find on it mentioning carnauba so that further makes me think it is some form of hybrid, I don't know what of though. I just know I am excited to try it. I may need to look at some of your posts to find the best way to apply it ie apply on and immediately buff off or apply on entire car, give sufficient time to dry and then buff off.

good thing about nuba's is if the customer can actually tell the difference, since they dont last as long, they might be willing to make more appt's =)

i soooo want to try fuzion, the sale at autogeek is sooo tempting...

and now that i hear it smells great, just might tip me over the edge

REALLY.....none?....wow

Patrick, you are surely pulling our leg.

Im serious, I couldnt tell you the last time I used one.....OK ok, it dawned on me.....S100 about 5 years ago.

I just cant see a significant difference guys. I love the slickness of sealants, and user friendliness, is above and beyond any nuba Ive used.

As for longevity, I care a great deal about it. I dont have a lot of customers who call me quarterly for cleanup details. Mine are mostly once a year call backs. I would prefer mu customers seeing beading and feeling slickness for as long as possible. And I'll be damned paying $50.00 for a jar of whats termed a "beautiful" Nuba.....

Call me different, but I have played with a lot of sealants, all the way back to Original Blackfire and Original Wizards Sealant and have found one that meets all of my needs, plus my own maintenance regimen with QD's and spray sealants (actually hybrids) that carries me over for 12 weeks. I seriously dont have time to wax with every wash......lol. Not only that, but epicondylitis (Tennis elbow) in both arms really deters the detailing as a hobby, and more of a chore these days. :grrr

Hehehe, dont try to talk me into it either! :LOLOL

I do have to admit, if I did experiment, it would be w/467SD or 845.

Who's still usings nubas? I guess that would be me... :wavey

Recently, Ive been layering EX-P and Nattys Blue. But Nattys Blue looks great just by itself.

I really like 845, and have been pleased by XMT 180 as well. I really like the look that a good carnauba can give.
