Who's concerned about H1N1/Swine Flu?

How do you feel about the vaccine? I still dont know what to think about one for my son.

Spoke to two doctors about it today. My kids' pediatrician and a GP I know personally. Both gave the vaccine to their kids and both are recommending it, so on that basis my wife and I have decided to give it to both of our children next week.

My son could not get it today because he was already running a low grade fever.

Hi Everyone,
I'm realitively new to this site but your questions regarding swine flu caught my attention. I've been working in the Public Health field for close to forty years and I'm familiar with communicable diseases. Should you have questions regarding HIN1 or seasonal flu the best place to go is the CDC site (Center for Disease Control)
they have the lastest info re: H1N1.

My wife had it a few weeks back.

The doctors office she works at sent several of their NP's to a class on the vaccine, and they all came back and got it after they asked all their critical questions on it if that tells you anything.

My wife just called me a little bit ago and told me I had an appt. at the health dept. to go get one.

In her eyes (a nurse) it is safe. We gave it to our 2 year old daughter without the first sign of a side effect.

I'm torn on having my family get the vaccine...

Early prevention is the key to this not becoming fatal should you contract it. Knowing the diferences in symptoms between H1N1 and seasonal flu is important.

I honestly feel this H1N1 WILL be around again and it will have morphed and become stronger. Those that contract it now and fight/beat it will have a stronger / better ability to fight/beat it when it comes around again.

The flu is the flu. My daughter is an ICU nurse and says that they treat it all the same. She did not want the H1-whatever vaccine, but it was a requirement for employment with her hospital. It's a largely unknown commodity and since the occupant of the Oval Office gave the manufacturers a mulligan for it's quality/safety, people will have no recourse if they end up getting extremely ill or worse from the H1N1 vaccination.

This latest outbreak has been way over-hyped by the media and Congress has used the ensuing hysteria to push that @&#$% HR 3962 through the house. If you think this outbreak has been bad, wait until the Feds control your health care choices. Call your Senators and tell them to stop this craziness.
