Whoh! I clayed with ONR and my car looks stunning!

not in my case, I used ONR as a clay lube in a heavy duty hand held spray pump,

it seemed to "bite" on the paint a little so I added 4 more ounce "4 times the size of the

ONR closing Cup" and it seemed better.



My spray pump is almost half a liter maybe less and it has now 8 or 10 ONR closing cup

size in it maybe more, is this correct for a QD ratio or at least more than recommended?

I also use this after a quick drive around the neighborhood to remove the rotors

brown dust, I apply ONR from it to a MF towel almost souking it wet and I also apply ONR

to the chrome before removing the dust

Well I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree then





because the way I see it:

1.) he used ONR and water

2.) he used some media to move it over the paint

3.) he dryed it with a MF

4.) then he was surprized it was clean & shiny



even though he did not use a bucket or a mitt he still followed the

basic steps of an ONR wash then stated he did not wash it:confused:

that is why I said he washed it

Washing the car implies I was doing a basic cleaning. The car was washed prior to the claying via 2 bucket method, sheep skit and NXT. Thus I wouldn't say I washed the car with ONR. I clayed it and, if you will, QD'd it with ONR.

Then, big jim are you saying if I take ONR "QD ratio" and a MF towl I could QD a

black car "which has light dust on it" and it will not swirl the paint or marr it?

just trying to make sense of the whole thing.

Single bucket with grit guard. 2 gals of water, 2 capfulls of ONR. ONR @ QD strength in a spray bottle for wheels and rocker panels, etc. if really dirty.



It just seems like there's almost a snowball effect if you are ONR washing every week to 2 weeks. After 3 or 4 washes, the dirt just falls right off when you wash. Of course maintaining your LSP also helps. I've got some Megs and Mothers QD to use up for claying duty, before I consider using my ONR for that.



Here in GA, hoseless is now a way of life. :hairpull
