Who makes the best pad

I just got my PC and have been reading through the forum to find who makes the best pad.

Are CMA's lake country pads the best to get? I have read on the board that the Sonus SFX3 are not so great. How do the Sonus Das Pad stack up? Then there were some pads sold on another site someone posted that were selling for about $7 (Propel Pads).

Im just trying to get a feel for what everyone else here is using.

Thanks,

I think the Propel pads are the best, because they work as good as any other pad, and they cost less than any other pad. They are also very easy to center if you get the Propel backing plate, or if you already have a 5" backing plate.

I like 3M (but it's the only thing I've used.) But I can also get them locally (and when I want them.) I'm going through this phase in life where I am trying to avoid buying stuff through mail-order. It's my protest against large retail corporations. To me it's worth it to spend my money in my own neighborhood. Also the convenience factor of having it right then and there.I haven't tried any of the other pads, but I'm sure they work just as well.

I am not sure if there is a best, I think the major factor is personal preference. I have Sonus, Meguiars etc and they all work well

In terms of maintenance, I think Meguiar's has a disadvantage. They're not recommended for machine washing. Heck, Meg's doesn't recommend washing at all:

I have them though. :D I wash them but only halfway through the foam pad by soaking them in a shallow water/Tide solution (repeat as necessary) and finally with just water. :up

My Lake Country Mfg pads get soaked and cleaned (never wrung) through and through.
