Who is/was the best race car driver ever?

In terms of different racing sports, I would say Valentino Rossi from MotoGP is atleast as good as Senna and Schumaker. I understand that bikes are different then cars, but anytime great racers are brought up, it seems almost unfair to include Rossi

But, present era I would have to go with, and this sort of kills me to say, Jeff Gordon. The only reason why is because I have seen him not only behind the wheel of a NASCAR but also a F1 car and he does good with both.

That's the reason I choose Mario Andretti. Many types of racing classes and champion in all. Also a great ambassador for racing worldwide even today.



Wouldn't it be nice to see Montoya and Schumi duking it out in NASCAR on the high backs of Daytona!!!! :cooleek:

Man, montoya wasn't a match for Michael in F1, what could he do against him going around and around?
