White w/ a lil sap*Pics*

00Ranger

Where did my title go?
This guy asked me before I came out if I had anything to remove a "lil sap" that had attached itself to the top of his car. I asked how the rest of the car was besides the sap....."it's only a couple of years old so it's in pretty good shape". You all know what that means FUBAR:lmfao Anyway here are some pics I thought you guys might enjoy...the pics speak for themselves

PS Sorry I couldn't get better after shot of the paint (weather and time etc etc:mad: )

This wasn't a concours detail or anything, so no multiple steps. I used a bug remover I get here locally as a presoak then washed .Most of the sap and what not came off from that, just a little staining left on the paint. I then used PB Polish w/ Carnauba which took care of the rest.

Engine Bay was done with Simple Green a couple of brushes, then dressed with Meg #40 cut 50/50

Interior: I used a great all purpose type cleaner that I also get here locally, top handle scrub brush and some towels:)

Even with just a one step type detail the guy was shocked...he thought he might have to get the car repainted:-p

He said he has to park under some pine trees at UofM It looks as if it has been sitting there since he bought it:lmfao

great job 00ranger . Are you using the simple green straight? i use mine cut with mineral spirits . The engine came out cherry . I'll have to look up Meg.'s 40 . Are you using 40 and water 50/50? . sorry for soo many questions but i could use a little help in the engine dept. Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks Hawaiian,
Yes I use both 50/50. cutting the dressing seems to give just the right amount of shine without being to glossy(it also makes the bottle last longer:)

STUNNING. great job, ive always been attractd to white cars for some odd reason. they just look soooo good when theyre sparkling clean and stuff.

Does #40 cut 50/50 collect less dirt and dust under the hood?

Simple green cut with mineral spirits, I have never heard of this. What effect does this have on the cleaning power of Simple Green?

It will still collect some dust , but not nearly as much. I don't cut the Simple Green with Mineral Spirits just water. 50/50 does the job for me. You might use it full strength if it was a severe case, but like always be careful of hoses and things like that. It can sometimes cause them to turn brown:(
