I have that combo on a pair of shoes. Primarily, I avoid getting them dirty. and I clean them with stuff that doesn't do a solvent-action on the leather's dye. Then I maintain with a neutral-colored product. It's really about not getting the stitching soiled IMO.
For that combo on a vehicle interior, I'd protect with Leather Doctor's stuff (I like the unscented version). For that matter, I'd just use his cleaner, rinse agent, *and* the protectant. Yeah, big PIA to order from him but worth it for me.
