hi guys,
first detail write up on this forum, please be gentle :dance
did a detail of my gf car....
first off big thanks to Mad_ix for some samples for me to try out...
this car had very light oxidation aswell as swirls
started off with GC conditioner and wash..
clayed whole car
SSR2.5
2 x #21
one coat of #16 topped
the finish is not entirely perfect, still alot of small cobwebbing when under the sun, but as the SSR2.5 was not mine, i didnt want to use alot of it. so i tryed to use as little as possible.
only double passes on teh bonnet and hatch.
21 was slick to apply
i never tryed #16 until today, i opened it up and thought i'd be a thick cream like wax, but was greated with what looked like a candle in a tin
i see what people mean, when you have to apply it very thin, or else you're going to have a hard time buffing it off...
overall, pretty happy with #16, gave it a sterile look imo

here are some before pics of the bonnet
here is one pass of SSR2.5
here is the hatch... as you can see the light oxidation
one pass of SSR2.5 to get rid of that oxidation.. although i did a second pass to get rid of some swirls
