White 4Runner paint?

Just got a 03 white 4Runner. The paint on some panels and the hood is glossy. Some of the other panels are dull to hazy looking in the lights. Its looks like it may have not been waxed for awhile. The paint is not chalky but you just can't get a good reflection out of it. I have used the Mequiars three step process without any luck on the paint correction. Scared to try a pc myself. Any help, tips or ideas ? Anyone know anybody in Northeast Tennessee that is good?

Hey, a little off topic, but my buddy just got a 4 runner not too long ago, do your wheels have a bad chipping issue? Apparently the paint comes off pretty easy.

Welcome to Autopia!

I have an '04 4-Runner Sport Edition in white as well. What model did you buy?

I have never had a problem with the paint hazing on me. You may need a better polish and a machine (if your not using one already). You could also post this in the "Regional Forums" and see if one of the professionals in your area can help you.

As far as the wheel paint chipping...my wheels are aluminum with no paint on them. So it may depend on the model he has. Did someone try to paint them at one time?

Yep, just changed one of them out. It is like the metal seperated.
