Which Wax on Silver Metallic?

If you're willing to splurge a little I use Zymol Vintage which I think gives great depth and shine. I prep with Zymol HD Cleanse and clay. I get the Vintage out of the Pebble Beach sampler which includes other waxes, wash, HD Cleanse, a MF towel, and detail brush for $179. Otherwise the Vintage is $1500, but with free refills for life.

Wow. That is really nice. However, I am not spending $1500 on wax. I love to detail my car. But not that much... lol

I have a few things i am going to try:

VM, RMG, YMW, CMW

Meg's #7, and #16

Menzerna FTG, FMJ

I still have GEPC, S100 to try...

AIO, UPP, WG, BF

I am contemplating Mother's FX or Reflections...

Any other Ideas? Reccommendations?

I really like the way Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba followed by Mother's FX looked on my brother's silver Altima. Very flakey and reflective.

I love how AIO/WG looks on my father's silver Envoy Denali. It beads like crazy and is very glossy looking. It looks a lot like some of the carnaubas I have used, but should last lots longer (not sure how long the WG will last). I had WG last me a few months in the summer heat last year on a different car. I'll probably top his car with some No. 845 for the winter.

UPP/OCW. NOt only is it one of the simplest combos to apply but the wetness and flake pop is great. I have an iridium silver MB and after this combo the flakes are jumping...a 2nd layer of OCW and the flakes are 3D!!!! :D

Detail Pride premium surface shield(DPPSS) looks great on silver or gray.

Yes it does! A real sleeper of a product.

For the wettest, deepest look, VM, RMG and CMW look great on silver.

Real crisp, wet reflections, I like AIO topped with either JW's Acrylic Jett or EX-P.

I just finished a silver SL500 that I did with Optimum Polish, AIO and AJ, should have the pics up in a couple hours. I think it turned out pretty nice. :)

How long is the CMW lasting for you? WOuld it we a good winter prep?

I'm getting 3-5 months durability, depending on how the car is washed, exposure to the elements, etc. With QEW and using Quikshine a couple times a month, I can get an easy 5 months.
