which wax first?

I have 2 waxes a weather protecting one and one that has virtually no protectants whatsoever. It is basically for shine!

Which one should I apply first or does it make not difference what so ever. I was thinking the one for the shine should go on last.
 
Ummm.... can you be a little more descriptive? Like, what are the exact names of these products? What does it say on the bottles?



Usually products that are just for shine are glaze-like products. I have no idea what a 'weather protecting" wax is and would rather not speculate.

hmm don;t think I conveyed what I was getting at correctly. Let use Meguires products for the sake of this thread. Basically I am more or less new in this arena. I used to wash and wax my car but never knew about things like clay, glaze, sealants, swirl removers, waxes and polishers. What I am after really is how should all of these be applied more specifically in what order should they be applied to achieve the best look and reap the best results.
 
Again, more info is needed - we'll use Meguiar's as an example...



If you had three Meguiar's products, like a Cleaner/Wax, a #20 Polymer and Medallion, then you might not want to use them all together - the #20 would be more durable than the other two, the cleaner/wax would be a one-step 'fix' and the Medallion would give you a deeper, wetter looking finish.



Of course, you could try #20 for a base coat (protection) then top it with the Medallion (for extra depth/wetness); but unless you're using a polymer under a wax, there's no real benefit to topping a carnabua (like a wax on top of a wax).



Regarding the general questions, check out David's e-book. For $14.95, it's some of the best money you'll spend, and it will show you in detail how to do all of the things you were asking about.
 
Looking to prep my car for the winter, thinking of number 20, will it look better with medallon on top and then topped with carnuba???



How will it compare to the cars look now? Please see the P21s on light blue thread.



Other wise i may use autoglym super resin, (two coats) with a coat of autoglym extra gloss, then a coat of glaze and then wax, prob megs hand polish and topped with p21s or blitz will this work???
