Which Sealant?

OT: How does UPP hold up in a rainstorm? any thoughts?

I beads quite well, and keeps dirt off the car quite nicely.

In the last year, I've had SG, UPP, and S100 on my car at various times. All thread bead very nicely, but UPP seem to keep the car cleanest.

So, my take is that it is a great product in the rain.

I have a bottle of Wolfgang too, that I got from one of those Autogeek giveaways. I'll try that soon, and see how it holds up in the rain. But, I'm really happy with UPP, and love the way it looks.

Wow, did they reformulate WG or something? I ended up giving my bottle away I was so dissapointed with the durability.......Im with Uncle, UPP all the way....

Glanz is still available, you just need to look around to find it. Pakshak and Waynestowels both have it. It's easy to apply, durable and looks good on metallics. WG and 4*UPP are also easy to apply and look good.

:nixweiss I don't know, I've been pretty happy with my results. I am almost finished with my bottle that smells like cologne, my new bottle doesn't have any added scent.

FWIW, Wolfgang looks better over AIO than the WG pre-cleaner, at least to my eye.

:xyxthumbs Amen to that! It seems to hold up very well too.

Scott, any difference other than smell?? Thats a bonus already, I wonder why anyone would make it so strong smelling....it was terrible....

I haven't used it yet. I still have a few ounces of the first bottle left. I'll let you know when I know. ;)

Looks like I'll be trying both the 4*UPPs and the Wolfgang. I see PremiumAuto is having a great sale on Wolfgang so it will be a good time to try something new.

Sorry for the confusion! I was thinking of Pinnacle Paste Glanz, and I think the product in question is actually Einszett Glanz Wax, a product I know very little about.

So, scratch my earlier statement!

SG is hit-or-miss for me as well, though I really like it and use it often. EX/EX-P get my vote - both look great and are easy to work with. IMO EX-P looks nice on light metallics, EX on dark colors. Durability is also good...
