Which rotary do you use?

I think this thread shows that you can't go wrong with any of them; even if you get the CE and decide that it stinks, you're only out $30. I bought the Makita, but I am certain that I would be just as satisfied with the Hitachi, Metabo, Fein, PC, or DeWalt.

I have a Hitachi

Can you guys tell me if the Hitachi has a soft start or not? My Chicago Electric has soft start and is ok but I really want a quick response trigger. I like the control of a trigger-sensitive rotary...Thanks in advance for any info!

Anyone heard of Flex in the states? It´s one of the most famous polishers here in Europe.

I use the Flex L3403VRG. A superb machine! Super strong(power output 880watt) and very light, only 4lbs. Compare that to the Dewalts, same power but more then half of the weight! I understand why Dewalt is not selling so many machines here in Europe. Stone age technology.

Yes is does have soft start BUT once you get used to it it really doesn't matter if it does or doesn't as I'm just as comfortable either way.

Makita 9227C

The only thing that gets annoying is that it gets a touch heavy when you're doing 2-3 vehicles in a day.

but I wouldn't like PC-type controls; I find the PC to be an ergonomic nightmare but I recognize that I'm in the minority on that.

No you're not, I love the PC, but can anyone tell me why in the hell the speed dial isn't just left or right of the power switch???
