Which products act like trim restorer and can be reversible?

Have an old, dried out air bag cover on a special car that I’m looking to add trim restorer on to darken the piece. I have Cerakote Ceramic Trim Restorer that’s been a phenomenal Amazon product on outside trim pieces for some of my cars, and it’s lasted years. I’m thinking about using it on this airbag cover but the issue is it’s difficult to remove if it doesn’t turn out how id like it to. Are there similar products for interior that can be washed off if I don’t like the application? Trying to be cautious on this one.

Looks like it needs some serious cleaning first.
I am with Stokdgs on this one: What material is it; leather or plastic:
If it is leather, try Griot's Garage Oder Neutralizing Leather Cleaner (yellow liquid spray) and then their Leather Care CREAM protectant.
If it's plastic, try something like Meguair's D101 APC diluted 4:1 and then Aerospace 303 vinyl protectant.
Other than Meg's D101 APC, these products are available over the counter.
Post the pics when you are done, regardless of what you use. (please?!)

I used the GG Ceramic Trim Restorer on some plastic interior bits that had the same appearance and it worked great, although some areas needed a few applications.

Of course (disclaimer time!), that doesn't mean it'll work for anybody else's issues ;) But like their Rubber Prep, the Ceramic Trim Restorer is now something I'll keep on the shelf. I would have no concerns about being able to clean if off if desired, but I didn't try so that's just a guess.

No, I never did try SolutionFinish, which the late Ketch would probably be suggesting.

I went with Griots Ceramic Trim Restorer, and so far it looks perfect. I had previously cleaned it using Meguiar’s Natural Shine Protectant, but did not press hard, just easy surface clean.
Anyway, I may apply more coats of the Griots ceramic. The airbag isn’t very dirty, just dry/discolored. Now it’s dark black.

In other news, should I use leather conditioner on the dash? Is that a thing?

Is the dash leather?

Glad that worked for you. Did you delete the picture? As far as the dash, it's not leather...you could use the Meg's Natural Shine--but why not use the Griot's?

Jacobpockros- Glad the GG stuff worked so well. IF that dash isn't leather, I'd use it on that too. I just used it on all the interior [synthetics] and it worked fine.
