Which product claims to repair scratched compact discs?

I remember reading (a very long time ago) the description to a product that claimed you could WOWO to repair lightly marred CDs. I believe it was a sealant; anyone know the name of the product I'm thinking of?



I bought a reputable CD repair device but it's pretty useless. This sealant is my last resort.

from what I udnerstand basically any light wax or selant should work...



people even use QD with good results.

This may sound silly, but toothpaste actually works quite well. Put a little toothpaste on a towel then start from the inside of the CD to the outside of the CD and back. Do this a few times and then move over until the whole CD is covered. Use another wet towel to remove the toothpaste by, again, going from the inside out. Wipe dry in the same fashion. I have corrected countless CD's in this fashion. Only once has it not worked 100%.

Klasse AIO just rocks on CD's. Reapired many scartches with it and gives that layer of acrylic protection. My CD's feel nekkid without it! :woot:

I'll keep saying this on every CD scratching thread: Plexus. It is like glaze for clear plastics. It was specifically designed for aircraft canopies, which are the same or similar material. Just spray and wipe off, no polishing and no risk of damage.

I was going to mention 303 has product for CDs.. i received it when 303 offered a sample pack of there products for the cost of shipping, but i have yet to try it ..

Virtually any polish below 2000 grit is fine for heavy to medium scratches

I've used menzerna, clearkote, sonus, detailers pride and others but I've always finished with fireglaze double strength sealant. It makes sure that it won't skip again unless it gets deeper scratches.



Seems to improve sound quality too.

I've got an old PS1 game called Destruction Derby that I enjoy mucking around with

I bought it second hand and it somehow got scratched while I was using it and it already had bad scratches. Did a 3 step polish and seal and it only occasionally struggles to load whereas before hand it was getting difficult
