Which pads are more aggressive- white or green

4 inch Lake Country CCS pads

I searched and found 2 different charts for pads -

1 chart said that white is more aggressive and the other chart said that green is more aggressive.

Which is more aggressive?

I've never used anything other than yellow, burgundy, orange, white, and black.

I believe white is more aggressive than green

Noting that I *DO NOT* keep track of all the different types of LC pads...

The green 4" ones that're sold under the "Cyclo" brandname are somewhat more aggressive than the typical white LC polishing pads. Not sure if that's any help... :o

There are TWO DIFFERENT LC GREEN pads. One would be more aggressive than the white and one less aggressive than the white. You may need to contact LC direct with which vendor you're planning on picking the pads up from to get the best information.

Aren't there enough colours in the rainbow, so that you don't have to use one twice? :faint:

I know the autogeek greens are softer then white, and the OEM ones are more agrassive.

I ordered some green ones from AG thinking they would be more agressive (perfect mid-soft paint) and got the softer ones!!!

I think the softer green is pointless there are already so many finishing light polishing LC pad. but on some paint having softer then orange and more agressive then white could be really usefull. On my personal car a black evo the orange pad can leave some marks and white take too many pass to get decent correction.

Why would LC come up with the same color and different specs depending on vendors?!?

One would think so.;)

I am absolutely smitten with the soft LC green 6.5" pad on the rotary. It's IMO the best rotary finishing pad available. It works well on pretty much all finishes *for me*.

The German pads are the softer green ones. Only CMA markets them as such but they're the same as the AG 6.5 flat green pads.

LC says the green between orange and white are euro foam. They have a different feel than the others. They look more porous and feel softer but correct more than white.

The German greens cut better and finish better than the white pads. CMA sells the mushroom shaped pads and AG the flat CCS.

I think that is too generalized of a statement. Yes, the german green pads are softer but the larger pore size makes them more agressive. Results depend on the aggressiveness of the product that they are used with. I pretty much just use the german green pad with a rotary as a medium polishing pad and use the white pad by PC.
