Which OTC spray wax gives best pop?

Hmmm I dunno, lazy perhaps? ... Wellllll I do order all my supplies online, but right now I just needed one product, so shipping will kill the deal. I was going to get OCW to try, but will not until I order my next batch of mass products haha. Once warmer, I will be needing some clay, wax, RMG and will order then... Otherwise, since you asked, what would you say to order online? I was going to get OCW. BUT then I read the FK post and want FK425 and more FK productts... Damn autopia making me waste all this $$$!!! haha



I do not need a QD, as I have a gallon of the CG's stuff :bigups...



I mainly wanted this to add on top of my LSP (almost making thing my LSP? haha).

I think if you want to keep prices down, I would go get the Mothers FX Spray Wax. According to Bence, its pretty close to the FK, and you can buy it locally.



I am coming to the realization, that in few cases, LSPs are going to have a minor effect on the looks of your car. Prep is where its at. I am guessing on a well prepped surface, people will be hard pressed to tell the difference between FK and FX spray wax. :nixweiss Of course, YMMV

What would everyone's choice be on black? I can get FX, maybe reflections, and definitely Nano Spray. I may try the Nano..something different. By the way, I am using it over Reflections wax.

I recently tried the nano spray wax on my graphite Honda.



My first impression was that it was very similar in appearance to Megs #26, at least on this color. Honestly was not real impressed with the slickness of the product, and water beading the next day was nothing to write home about. The plus for this product is that it is very easy to use, and you can do the whole car in about 10 minutes.

So basically FX or Reflections now haha... Yes Sam, I too read the comment about FX and FK. I would rather buy it OTC for cheaper.



Also Sam you are correct, prep is key. However with different LSPs, you can see a difference (warm look, depth, reflectivity, etc etc). BUT I agree that I doubt one could tell difference between FX and FK (also read a post about a user comparing those 2 and 1 more). So yea FX or Reflections it is!



OneQuickGT1, if you want a nice darker look, go with Reflections otherwise, FX for a brighter look.

Sam, the 425 is still just a QD, while FX Spray Wax is - well - a spray wax...



If you want a comparable spray product from FK1, the choose the FX-100, which is a sprayable glaze sealant, with organic and inorganic waxes.

The direct competitor of 425 is the Mothers Showtime.

For the original question, reflections spray wax easily is the best pick for metallic flake. Be warned, application is harder than the rest as you have to let it haze, then remove. Works better if towel or car are wet. However, the results are incredible. At least for OTC spray waxes, it leaves the nicest finish and is the most durable. I in fact suspect given the thickness and final look that the product is just "dumbed-down" reflections top coat.



The turtle wax quick detailer is great, and most of the platinum line products are also very good.

FX100 and FK 425 is soooo good that I went out and bought a two pistol cowboy belt with holsters.

I have been practicing and can shoot FX100 and 425 on the car without taking the bottle out of dem holsters.

My car (or cah as we say here in JOysee) will whip your car's *** before you've even pulled out that FX out of the pep boys shopping bag.

I have FX and Nano. Contemplating on what car to use it on my IS or my girlfriend's IS.

why does it have to be OTC?

Because paying $6 (or more) for shipping and handling to get a $5 product sucks. Don't get me wrong, I'm a regular stop for my local UPS driver, but an order has to be fairly substantial (at least $20 for me) to justify S&H charges.



As to where to find Eagle One Nano Spray Wax? My local Wal*Mart Superstore carries it, as does Pep Boys and Autozone. Advance Discount Autoparts and Target didn't last time I checked, so some shopping around may be necessary among your local Eagle One retailers.
