Here are some logos I'm thinking of using, which ones do you like the best, if you don't like any give a response as to why. Vote 5 if you don't like any of them.

I voted for 3 BUT if and/or when you're going to use it on embroidered shirts - First check with a local embroidery guy for his opinion. Second, lose the LLC (on shirts only) and maybe lose the car (again, on shirts only). Just my 2 cents.

The Bentley in the logo looks like it has "eyes" and that gives it a "cartoonish" look.

Make the headlights in the logo look "normal" and option 1 gets my vote!

1 & 2 look good, but as a logo designer myself, I'm not really a fan of the font combo in the #1... (that's just my personal opinion ;))

My vote is for #2 :xyxthumbs

The Bentley does nothing for me as a logo... It doesn't even have an added "sparkle" to show that it's clean, etc.

I vote for the fonts in #1 as well, or #4 with the "detailing" slightly less bold, maybe italic.

I say you re-think adding the Bentley or do something more or less with it.

EDIT: If I HAD to choose it would be either #3 or #4 with the revised text.

# 3 is my vote, but I would lose the car and replace it with a more realistic car or a more abstract type of art. Just throwing in my 2 cents. Good Luck.

As a web and graphics guy, I would go with the 4th one. Reason being is that if you're not going to use a simple logo (like Nike swoosh, or Swissvax) that catches peoples' attention because of its simplicity, then you'll want the name itself to leave a visual impression on them (like Coke or Sears). The name on the 4th one stands alone. Also, you have to take into consideration what it's going to look like on a business card. Standard printing won't print the intricate lines of the BMW that's on the logo, no shading, etc. just one color for that image. It can be done, but you'll be printing an image not a SVG, which also can't be printed on just any paper... and it looks awful IMO.

I like the font in the 2nd and 4th images more and more. I want the logo to be universal for biz cards, shirts, flyers, thank you cards, ect. So in your opinions It sounds like I use the font on some and the font and car on others?

Yeah, so for shirts, flyers, etc. I think the logo with the car will be OK because it's just an "extra" thing, but I wouldn't include it/associate it with the name itself. Reason being is that it's too common of an item and people tend to unconsciously "block the background noise out". In other words, it's too intricate to be classified as a logo and to complex for people to register it as such. Take these for example:

The majority of them are either contain geometric shapes (easy for people to remember) or just simple lettering (also easy to remember). Now regardless of whether you're a huge company or a one-man army, you want people to remember your logo right? By using basic shapes and lettering, you're associating your company, services and many other things about your business with every day things. I'll use my own logo as another example:

Chances are the fist thing you see is the yellow circles in the middle. This is the ancient Greek symbol of the sun which is associated with Apollo, the sun god. I now have a connection with the name of my company to the logo itself. Also, it's a simple, round logo and there's a million things on the streets, especially on your car, that look similar to it... a rim and tire, a steering wheel, a car's logo, key hole on a car, etc. So now I have sort of a subliminal advertising thing going on :). It's not always possible to achieve that, but any attempt to do so is worth it. I may have a couple of ideas for you to play around with so PM me if you're interested! - Jesse

thanks for the all the info gang. I'm going in a different direction based on some recommendations. I'll post up the new idea soon for a poll.

Cheers,

GREG
