BMW Jet Black looks the best. My BMW is Black Sapphire Metallic, it OK. But, you don't get the reflectiveness of JB. It has gold and blue flake, but its not super pronounced. In certain lights it almost looks like a soft brown.

When I bought this car I wanted any color but silver or BSM. But they only made like 400 of my model of car for N. America for 2008, so I got what was available.

No black is worth the maintenance! Only people that love it are the non maintenance/detail people.

This is a no-brainer. The most fabulous black car I have ever seen is the skin on my 2012 Caddy CTS-V. Nothing like sounding pompous here?
The Black Diamond Tri-coat, unfortunately...moan,...is a thousand-buck paint upgrade, so there will likely never be trillions of these on the road. The color only looks like a shiny deep black in shade. But, in the sun, it is Sparkle Plenty (I almost considered a variation for my vanity plate). Not everyone likes Cads, and the power/handling of the V-series is only recognized by car buffs. But EVERYONE makes comments about the color. People come up at stores, gas stations, or roll down their windows while driving by, to ask about the cool paint job. The border check agents always moon over the car, no matter what check point I cross though in New Mexico.

Because of the super-sparkly flecks in the paint, the finish does not show dust nearly as bad as "straight black". Worth the upgrade, for maintenance.

Deep shiny black it doesn't have to have metal flake. In the picture with the red pearl to me it looks like a paint defect, I would have to see it in person in the light though to make a good sound call on the looks. Well, over the past few years I have been told that black is hard to take care of. I had never owned black and when looking for a Camaro I kind of wanted the Imperial Blue but they seem kind of hard to find with low miles on them. Last, I went to look at 2 cars, a Corvette and a Camaro and Corvette deal fell through. The thought running through my mind is how bad can black be to own. Well I bought that black Camaro and it sure looks great when it is detailed, and after I added the white Bumble Bee stripes it really looks awesome. But man is it chore to keep it clean. Although I really like the look I know this will be my last black car.

Love the color black on vehicles but yes they are pain to keep pristine.
