for a waterless wash during the winter, do you guys prefer poorboys spray and wipe or QEW

....never tried QEW, so i have no basis but i love poorboys s&w :up

There 2 different products.

QEW - Full Wash

Spray and Wipe - Between a quick detail and a wash.

Both have their place in your winter tool box.

If I could only have one product, then definitely QEW because it can handle a lot dirtier vehicle.

S & W does have it's place though, especially if it has rained and left spots on your otherwise clean car. QD might not take care of all the spots, but S & W will and it's quicker than using QEW.

I like QEW followed up by a light going over with S&W. Trigger wash requires rinsing with a hose as I understand it. Steve (Poorboy) advocates using S&W as a full wash product, but I don't really feel comfortable with that. Plus, i'm not particularly enamoured with using 10 MF towels to wash my car.

C-MDX - our Trigger Wash really isn't the same type of product since it requires water (you wet the mitt and paint surface beforehand, and rinse the surface afterwards).

It's more akin to washing without a bucket o' car wash soap water.

Heheheh, that Armor-All package says: Helps Protect the Clear Coat*... what does the "*" say?

*protect = swirl is my guess. I can't imagine even doing light QDing to my car with a wipe-type product....
