I'm rocking the 9500ci and completely love it. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but you get a lot of features for the money. With the detector being built in, you have a much larger radar receiver - which allows you to pick up a radar hit much sooner. As for the laser jammers with the ci, they are good *if* you use them correctly. They are not meant to be left on to jam right to the gun (little too obvious to the LEOs out there)...the idea is to let the jammers jam the signal (they detect a hit and start 'dazzling' the LEO's gun) - meanwhile you slow down to legit speed, hit a button and the 9500ci turns the jammers off for 1 minute so the LEO can get a clean hit on the car...then you are clear and can proceed merrily along your way. The GPS capability of the ci as well as the defender database that you update monthly is an added bonus - you get red light camera warnings, pressure plate warnings, etc etc.
